A Swimmers body is encapsulated with this swimsuit that is composed of woven elastance-nylon and polyurethane that compresses the muscles and moulds to the shape of the body, trapping air for buoyancy, these advance suits attempt to mimic the dermal denticles of sharks to further enhance the ability to reduce drag. They allow for better oxygen flow to the muscles and hold the body in a more hydrodynamic position whilst repelling water and increasing flexibility. Vertically stitched seams minimize fluid resistance and some ultrasonically welded seems help to further reduce drag. NASA’s wind tunnel testing facilities and fluid flow analysis software supported such designs.
